Forge Fitness

Workout tracker for iPhone

It never makes a number up.

Forge Fitness logs your lifts, your cardio and your recovery, then tells you only what your own data supports. When it supports nothing, it says so.

Free while it’s in testing. Coming to the App Store.

This morning

Before your first set.

Last night’s sleep, HRV and resting heart rate, set against what’s normal for you. Then the session that fits the day, with a target for every lift worked out from what you actually did.

In the session

See the lift before you do it.

Tap an exercise for a looping demonstration, the steps in plain words, and the one cue that matters. Your last session sits beside the set you’re typing.

After the session

What the session actually did.

The muscles you trained and your total volume. A fair comparison with last time that counts only what you did both days, and says what it left out. And any record, with exactly what it beat.

Over the weeks

Progress you can actually read.

Your lifts ranked by real progress, first sessions against latest, and charts that label every point with the weight and reps behind it.

Over the months

Patterns, with their receipts.

Forge looks for patterns in your own readings and says each one in a single line, only once it has held across your history, with the research one tap away. It checks your lifting against your sleep the same way.

The rule

Most fitness apps fill the gaps. This one leaves them.

A readiness score invented from three numbers looks confident and means nothing. Forge would rather tell you it doesn’t know. Everything below is taken from inside the app.

Judged against your own normal

Your sleep, HRV and resting heart rate are compared with your own usual, not a chart built from other people. Every number comes from your watch, your ring, or you.

It says when it doesn’t know

When your recovery and your lifting don’t line up, Forge says so instead of manufacturing a pattern out of a dozen sessions.

A record says what it beat

Every personal record says whether you beat the weight or the reps, and by how much. No estimated one-rep max dressed up as a PR.

No guessing on day one

With nothing to compute from yet, Forge explains the blank instead of guessing a starting weight for you.

What it does

Lift, cardio and recovery, in one place that keeps them straight.

Lift

Fast to log, honest to read

  • Your last session sits beside the set you’re typing
  • One suggested weight or rep goal, worked out from your own history
  • Real personal records: heavier than ever, or more reps at a weight you’ve done
  • A rest timer that runs on your Lock Screen and your Apple Watch
  • Warm-ups and drop sets never inflate your volume or your records
Cardio

Each machine logs what it measures

  • Treadmill, bike, stair climber, rower, elliptical, SkiErg, runs and walks
  • Apple Watch workouts import themselves, no retyping
  • Counts toward your streak without polluting your lifting numbers
  • A hybrid plan that puts your key runs where your legs can take them
Recover

Your own normal, not a population average

  • HRV, resting heart rate and sleep from Apple Health, Oura or WHOOP
  • Every reading judged against your own baseline, never a chart in a textbook
  • A verdict that changes the session, never whether you train
  • Cycle tracking that connects phases to your training, if you want it
